For instance, if you use a domain name like 'SuperIt.com', it doesn't tell either you or the search engines what this website is about. It could be, however considered a good memorable domain name which you could point to your Keyword enriched domain name. This means either domain name can be typed in to the address bar and your website would come up.

Long Tailed Keyword Phrases are the best because they contain a string of words that tell the search engines what your website is about. 

For example, if your website is about 'Paint Touch Ups For Cars', you might think that just the Keyword 'Cars' will get you more visitors, but it won't.

Here's why.
 

The keyword 'Cars' is too general, and the search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing won't know if your website is about Car Rentals, Car Manufacturing, Car Sales, and so forth. As a result they will not display your website over other websites that are clearer on what they're about.

 

In other words, if your website was about 'Paint Touch Ups For Cars',  and you had the domain name 'Cars.com' . . . if you had the domain name 'PaintTouchUpsForCars.com',  it would be displayed in the search results ahead of Cars.com, as people would be more inclined to do long tailed keyword searches like'Paint Touch Ups For Cars.'

What to look for when choosing a Long Tailed Keyword Phrase for your Domain Name.

 

1.  A high online search volume.

You can see how many times a keyword phrase is being searched for using Google's Keyword Planner. For instance, Mayor of Toronto has 1,000 to 10,000 searches per month. So I registered MayorOfToronto.com, embedded news websites within my Income Activator Platform, and put Googles pay-per click ads on each page to generate revenue. 

Companies use ads on search engines to get traffic. They pay based on the keywords they want their ads to be displayed for in online searches. A company selling solar panels may pay $6 per click to have their ad displayed in the search results. This means if you are looking for advertisers to pay you for leads, they'll be more inclined to pay a similar rate, like what they're already paying Google for leads. Always make sure you confirm what the Keyword Phrase you're selecting is really about.

To do this, enter your Keyword Phrase into Google's Search Bar then click on some of the Ads & Website links that come up.

You will begin to see a pattern in the type of information that comes up and it will become obvious what kind of websites are being displayed for that Keyword Phrase. For example, 'Raw Food Diet' could be for people, or dogs.

Get a Keyword phrase for your Domain Name that is targeted exactly to the topic of your website.

Be Careful How Your Domain Name Appears. Always look at how your Domain Name appears in type.

When registering your Domain Name, go for a 2 year term, as this is an indicator to the search engines that your website is meant to be around for the long term.

To register a domain name head over to GoDaddy.

Enter your Domain Name into GoDaddy's search box, select an exchange (i.e. .com) and click on GO.

If the Domain Name is available, proceed to Check Out.
