Protect Your Googd Name

Register your name as a Domain Name.

In this world of Internet Marketing, you need to secure Your Name as a Domain Name so that someone doesn't register it and use it to sell their products or services.
For Example ...I registered my name as a Domain name . . . LeeRomanov.com and can pointed to any website I want. This way, if anyone is looking for me can simply type my name and will be taken to my website.

GoDaddy can show you how to forwarding your name to any website.
You can call them at 480.505.9977.
Your 1st step is to find out if your name is still available.
To do this go to GoDaddy.com or click hereGoDaddy - World's #1 Domain Registrarand enter in Your Name with a .com exchange.
When you get there, type in "Your Name" in the 'Search Bar' (i.e. JohnSmith.com).
Instantly GoDaddy tells you if your name is still available, or if it has been taken.

If it's available, then proceed to the Shopping Cart & buy it to block anyone from taking it.
What if your name has been taken???!?!?

If your name is already taken, try to get a varience of your name,
i.e. John W Smith.com or J Smith.com.

You can find out who owns the Your Name by going to:
You may then wish to contact the person directly if you want to purchase the Domain Name.
They may very well not really care about it & sell it to you relatively inexpensively.

You can also call Go Daddy and ask them to alert you if your name every becomes available.
There is a small fee for them to do that, but it's worth it.

All Domain Names have extensions like .com, .ca, .info and lots more, click here.
Always try to get a .com extension as it's the most mainstream.

Most people that hear the Domain Name naturally enter in a .com exchange.
No one ever got rich selling a .net exchange.

When Buying A Website Name . . .
You need to make sure you cover off the following areas:

1) Keyword Friendly: Have some 'Keyword Enriched' Domain Names, that will generate visitors.

2) Your Name: Register your 'Own Name' as a Domain Name, so no one uses your name for their own benefit.

3) Easy To Remember & Spell: Have a 'Memorable' Domain Name, that's easy for someone to type, to find your site.

4) Get Mobile: Get your ' Memorible Domain Name' in a Mobile Exchange --> www.Memorible Name.mobi

To do this go to GoDaddy.com or click here -->
GoDaddy - World's #1 Domain Registrarand enter in your Keyword Phrase, and select an exchange that is available for purchase.

What If The Domain Name You Want May be Taken???!?!?
If that's the case you can you can find out who owns the Domain Name by going to:
You may wish to contact the person directly if you want to purchase the name.
They may very well not really care about it and sell it to you relatively inexpensively.

WARNING
Do NOT pay more than $11.99 for a 1 year subscription.
As I understand it's recommended to purchase a 2 year subscription as Google is more inclined to display websites that appear to be around for the long term.
Do Not Buy into any of the up sells. You Do Not Need Them.
A friend of mine was buying an $11.99 Domain Name, but when going through the process of purchasing it on GoDaddy, their Reo made it sound like he needed 'other stuff'.
You Don't. Your Income Activator program has everything you need. Just buy the name for $11.99.
My friend was about to pay over $400!!! for an $11.99 Domain Name when I stopped him from being taken in.

1.  Keyword Friendly
people are searching online for products and services constantly.
A website with a Domain Name that contains the 'keywords' that people are searching for will have the best chances of being found.
To see what keywords people are using when searching for your area of interest Click Here.
Many of the Keyword Enriched .com Domain Names are taken, but that doesn't matter in this case.
There are many other exchanges like .net, .co, .ca and so on that are available to you.
This Domain Name is only for the Search Engines to index the Keywords your website is targeting.

3.  Have A 'Memorable' Domain Name

Having an easy to remember Website Name is 'Key' to your business.

Imagine hearing your Website Name on the Radio or TV.
Listeners must be able to 'remember it' by the time they get to their computer, and 'type it in correctly' to get to your website.

* Try to get this Domain name with a .com exchange.
(You may also wish to purchase the exchange for the country you live in, like .ca for Canada)

An example of this is Stewie's site that's playing on the popular song Who Let the Dog Out . . .
www.Who Let The Dog In.com.

PasternakFindings.com is a good example of a bad website name.
Your not sure how to spell it and you can't tell what kind of business this is. Would you have guess Jewlery?

You need a Domain Name that's  -  Short  -  Meaningful to Your Business  -  Easy to Spell.

The best Domain Name is the one that has Keywords in it that reflect what your website is about.

My Story

One of my past competitors in the car insurance quoting business was named Kanetix.com who were computer programmers with a big egos, but no marketing savy.
First of all, the word 'Kanetix' didn't mean anything to anyone except them.

Secondly, when people hear it, they would think they were meant to say the 'real word' 'Kinetic'. . . which is the definition of motion, not of getting a car insurance quote.
This lead to immediate confusion.
Finally, there are too many wrong ways of spelling this 'made up word.'

As Kanetix began a huge radio advertising campaign, I bought 300 mis-spelled Kanetix.com Domain Names and redirected them to my Website.
I was getting a lot of visitors to my site that couldn't spell Kanetix, but they sure could do a car insurance quote. To this day, Kanetix radio ads now 'Spell Out' their name.

Be careful how your Domain Name may appear to others.
All of these are legitimate companies that didn't spend quite enough time to consider how their Domain Name appears in type.

You can't make this stuff up.
1. 'Who Represents' is where you can find agents representing celebrities, not agents representing ladies of the night.
Their Website name is: www.whorepresents.com

2. Looking for a Great Pen?  Look no further than 'Pen Island'. It can be found at: www.PenisLand.net
3. Need a Therapist?  Try 'The Rapist Finder' at: www.therapistfinder.com

4. Get A Moblie Exchange
The world is going mobile . . . mobi
Some newer extension are .us which stands for the United Sates and .mobi which stands for 'Mobile' cell phones.

Internet Marketers believe this is the next new wave and popular .mobi extensions may become vauable,
because the number of people using their cell phone to get on the Internet is steadily increasing.

If you find 'a good one' you may want to purchase it to sell at a later date, like
www.Coke.mobi . . . which, by the way is taken.
